Cafes in Washington DC

Cappucino Affogato and Crepe, Cafe Bonaparte

-- Cafe Bonaparte -- I love finding great little restaurants when I travel that reflect the local vibe of a city. This French cafe in Georgetown is one of those restaurants with an atmosphere that is very friendly and inviting. Cafe Bonaparte offers a wide selection of crepes, take your pick from savory to sweet. And for coffee lovers, they have amazing cappucino drinks.

-- Potbelly Sandwich Works -- A lunch must, this quick-order sandwich shop makes your sandwich or salad to order with all the fixings. Potbelly is everywhere around the city, so you can't walk very far without finding one. And I love their vintage/antique decor.

-- Afterwords Cafe -- Located right above Dupont Circle, Afterwords Cafe and Grill is attached to Kramerbooks, in the back with a patio and small upstairs. I went there for their substantial and delicious desserts and to enjoy the live music they regularly have. And the best part, if you have to wait for a table, there's plenty of books to keep you occupied.
